The presidents of the U.S., Italy and Germany, Joseph Biden, Sergio Mattarella and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, congratulate the Kosovo president Vjosa Osmani on its Independence Day, Feb. 17.

Biden stated in his message that the U.S. remained an unwavering partner and that Kosovo had made tremendous progress in the 14 years of its independence. He reiterated the support of the U.S. to the efforts for reaching a comprehensive agreement on normalization with Serbia, focusing on mutual recognition.

Steinmeier declared support to the institutions of Kosovo in the agenda reform and in the fight against crime and corruption. "Germany strongly supports the prospects of the Republic of Kosovo in the European Union. In that context, the decisive implementation of the important reform agenda of your government in the fight against corruption and organized crime is extremely significant," it was stated in the German president's message.

Mattarella has stated that "Italy will continue to support Kosovo towards its European perspective." Britain's Queen Elisabeth II has also sent a message of congratulation.
