Stanislav Hocevar (Beta/Milos Miskov)
Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar has warned in his Easter message all those who "are satisfied only with material possession and indulgence" that their "'kingdom' shall be short-lived."
"Those who think they can achieve their 'kingdom' by force shall instantly face the force of destruction, misery and vanishing," Hocevar stressed on the occasion of the Christian holiday, celebrated on April 17 according to the Gregorian calendar.
He also said that historic events were under way, "and not at a time of numerous but at a time of radical changes, and so everyone is called more strongly to seek such a kingdom."
In his letter, Archbishop Hocevar wished Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Porfirije a happy Easter, with a wish that "the joy of the coming Easter fills the soul of every Christian."
Hocevar is performing the Good Friday service on April 15, while on April 17 he will perform Easter Mass.
