In a meeting with Serbian parliament speaker Ivica Dacic on April 29, French Ambassador to Serbia Pierre Cochard expressed his desire for Serbia to decisively pursue its EU integration policy by implementing reforms and strengthening alignment with the EU foreign policy, particularly in the context of the war in Ukraine.
Cochard said he was happy with political pluralism in the parliament resulting from the April 3 elections in Serbia, according to a statement from Dacic’s office. Dacic said that bilateral cooperation was versatile and very developed, which was evidenced by high-level intense political dialogue.
Dacic thanked members of both houses of the French parliament who had monitored the April elections in Serbia within observation missions of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).
