On June 13, Serbian Minister of Interior Affairs Aleksandar Vulin confirmed that Gambian police have taken one person into custody on suspicion that he sent mass false bomb threats to numerous institutions in Belgrade and other Serbian cities.

The minister explained that the arrest was made based on information provided by the Serbian Police Force.

According to Vulin, the suspect claimed it was post-secondary student from Poland who told him to e-mail the false bomb threats to addresses throughout Serbia.

Vulin also said that police will soon meet with the Ministry of Education to discuss how to safely organize graduation exams in the country’s primary and secondary schools, given the numerous and frequent false bomb threats received by these and other public institutions over the past weeks.
