Marking the 27th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre on July 11, several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will present a digital project titled “Life Is what the Dead Dream of,” by Mia David, which via a mobile phone shows the names of the victims on the Serbian parliament building in Belgrade.

“The digital project titled ‘Life Is what the Dead Dream of’ creates a broader reality where the genocide victims are visible all around the parliament building,” it is said in a joint statement of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), the Independent Journalists’ Association of Vojvodina and ForumZFD.

According to the statement, by moving their phones, people will be able to see 8,372 names along with birthdates “which are hovering above the parliament and reminding of their absence.”

The project will be presented outside the parliament building at 7:30 pm on July 11.
