According to the July 21 edition of the Danas daily, current Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali is the most probable candidate for new prime minister of Serbia and he is already composing his official address to Parliament.
“It is true that President Aleksandar Vucic said that there are four candidates being considered for the role of prime minister designate – including non-partisan experts and two public figures – but, at the moment, Minister Mali seems to be on the cusp of taking over [as prime minister],” the paper writes citing a source within the current Cabinet.
While the daily further claims that Mali is already penning his inaugural speech, the identity of the next prime minister will be certain only after talks are concluded within the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
