Serbian Public Debt Reaches 53.2 Percent of GDP at the End of June

Serbia's public debt at the end of June this year equaled EUR31.3 billion, which is 53.2 percent of GDP, the Ministry of Finance announced on Aug. 4.

The public debt at the end of May equaled around EUR30.7 billion which was 52.3 percent of GDP. The public debt at the end of last year equaled EUR30.1 billion or 56.5 percent of GDP.

The Serbian budget deficit in the first half of the year was RSD35.7 billion. Revenues were RSD830.1 billion while expenditures were RSD865.7 billion. In June, there was a surplus of RSD35.4 billion while revenues were RSD175.1 billion of which tax income was RSD163.9 billion.

Spending in June reached RSD139.7 billion.
