New elections in Belgrade but also at the level of the republic are always possible, Socialist Party of Serbia leader Ivica Dacic said on Jan. 6 regarding increasingly frequent demands from the opposition to call new elections.
"Elections are always possible, if there are political reasons for that and if that is good for the functioning of governing bodies. We will assess that, together with our partners from the Serbian Progressive Party. Their responsibility is the greatest there because they are the biggest party. We always precisely agree first on such decisions and take into account whether elections are good for our citizens and institutions," the Socialist party leader told daily Blic.
He said the Socialists were ready for elections, if there was a will to organize them.
