Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that the domestic information and communication technology (ICT) industry would export products worth EUR 2.7 billion by the end of the year, adding that Serbia was internationally recognized as a country of engineers, innovative and creative people.

“This is why some of the world’s leading companies, including Microsoft, NCR, IBM, Cisco, Continental, GoDady, Schneider, as well as fairly new, yet very successful like Epic Games, Rivian or Polygon, have been developing their products and solutions in Serbia,” Brnabic said in an article she wrote for the Politika newspaper, which was published on the daily’s 119th birthday on Jan. 25.

The prime minister said that Serbia had recognized its advantages, understanding the changes the digitalization of society was bringing as “the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” which helped the country change its image and attract technologically advanced and sophisticated investments.

“Serbia is trying to join a tight circle of states, which will create new trends and technologies in the future, make the future of mankind and concentrate newly-created wealth. We are not there quite yet, but are well on the way,” the prime minister said in her article.
