Year-on-year Inflation 16.1 Percent, International Trade Adds 16 Percent

Serbia’s monthly inflation rate rose 1.4 percent in February, and the year-on-year inflation growth rate was at 16.1 percent, the Serbian Statistics Office reported on March 13.

 
Compared to December 2022, personal consumption expenditures went up by 2.8 percent in February.

 
Serbia's international trade reached 5.05 billion euros last January, having increased by 16 percent compared to January 2022, and the deficit was reduced by 8.1 percent.

 
Exports were EUR2.1 billion worth, 21.1 percent more than in January 2022, while the imports amounted to 2.8 billion euros, 12.5 percent more than in January last year.

 
The European Union accounts for 57.8 percent of the total exchange.
