North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski said in Belgrade, on March 31, that cooperation between his country and Serbia had reached the highest level since the proclamation of North Macedonia’s independence, and that their comprehensive cooperation had produced excellent results.
At a joint press conference following a meeting with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and a plenary conference between delegations from the two governments, Kovacevski said that the meetings between North Macedonia’s delegation and Serbian officials was “yet another firm confirmation of cooperation” between the two states.
“There isn’t a single open issue or an unsolved problem between our two countries. Our only talks are on successful cooperation and a better future for the citizens of both states. I want to express our government’s strong political will to deepen and improve good neighborly relations between the two states and two nations,” Kovacevski said, adding that Serbia would connect to a new gas pipeline linking Greece and North Macedonia.
During his visit to Belgrade, the Greek PM also met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Speaker Vladimir Orlic. The officials of the two states also signed three memorandums of understanding.
