It is always better if the authorities complete their four-year mandate, said Rasim Ljajic, a member of the ruling coalition and the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia.
“It’s always better to [complete] a four-year mandate. But, if there are any doubts about the government’s and regime’s legitimacy, then there’s nothing wrong with holding [snap] elections either,” Ljajic told Pink TV on Aug. 21.
The politician recalled that, regardless of other levels of government, regular local and provincial elections must take place in the spring of 2024.
