French content and authors in the fields of music, painting, film and theater will be particularly prominent this autumn within the current cultural programs in Serbia.

On the occasion of the honorary participation of France in the 66th International Belgrade Book Fair, the French Institute and the Embassy of France invited their years-long partners on Oct. 4 to emphasize French content and authors throughout the autumn, within their current programs.

During the event Confluenses – France in Serbia from Oct. 4 to 15, the audience will be offered special guided tours of the permanent exhibition of the National Museum in Belgrade, theatrical plays by French authors in Belgrade, performances by French artists at the Belgrade Jazz Festival, film and documentary broadcasts by RTS, a lecture and exhibition in the National Library of Serbia and many other events.

French Ambassador to Serbia Pierre Cochard told reporters that more than 20 French authors from the cultural scene would participate in the event. “Cultural exchange between Serbia and France represents an invisible, but precious framework for the friendship that connects us,” the ambassador said.
