It is realistic for the opposition to win the upcoming elections in Belgrade and thereby stop "some very dangerous and potentially highly destructive undertakings," former opposition MP on the People's Party ticket Vladeta Jankovic said on Nov. 3.
Jankovic told Nova TV that it "is being confirmed every day" that the ruling Serbian Progressive Party was "shaken" and "in a state of panic."
When asked about a coalition of the Serbian Progressive Party and the Serbian Radical Party in the local and city elections, he replied that the Progressive party would "pay a steep price" by partnering with Vojislav Seselj.
"The Serbian Radical Party has 10,000-15,000 votes in Belgrade which cannot go to waste now, now every vote is important to them (the Progressives), even that miserable number of Seselj's supporters. It is a steep price they will pay" by joining forces with Seselj, he said.
