The Serbian Ministry of Defense on Feb. 2 invited young men and women who will be turning no more than 27 by the end of the year and who have an undergraduate degree from civilian university to apply by March 31 for professional military training for reserve aviation officers and obtain the title of pilot.
According to the Ministry, the candidates who meet the general terms of the competition and pass medical, psychological and security checks, and complete selective parachute and flight training, will have the opportunity to become airplane and helicopter pilots of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense.
"The most successful among them, after [they have] completed six months of training, will be given the opportunity to immediately join professional military service and continue their flight training as aviation officers. The candidates who apply for the specialty of remotely piloted aircraft operator are not sent into selective parachute and flight training," says the announcement.
