The first plane flying a regular Air Serbia line between Belgrade and Mostar, re-established after more than three decades, landed in the Bosnian city on April 15.

Its passengers were a Serbian delegation spearheaded by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Borjana Kristo, chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dragan Covic, president of the Croat Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina were at the airport to meet the Serbian delegation.

Vucic told reporters at the Mostar airport that the Belgrade-Mostar flight was very important to the two cities and countries, and would contribute to connecting both the nations and the business communities of Bosnia and Serbia.

On April 16, the Serbian president is scheduled to attend the opening of the 25th International Economy Fair in Mostar, to be opened by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.

Over the course of his two-day stay in Mostar, Vucic is also due to meet with Miroslav Lajcak, European Union special representative to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue -- an encounter he has said he was not at all looking forward to.
