Democratic Alliance of Kosovo candidate for Kosovo prime minister Vjosa Osmani has said that she will remove "all customs duties" on Serbian products if Serbia provides information on "1,700 missing persons," the Kossev website reported on Oct. 1.

Citing the Pristina Koha Ditore newspaper, the website said that Osmani had also said that she would lead a dialog with Belgrade as, she said, that was a process that needed to be led by someone who was not blackmailed, but also added that "I will not allow changing borders to be part of the dialog."

"The question of the tariffs must be solved based on reciprocity with Serbia. I will also call on Serbia to return to the negotiating table. Serbia today is not accepting numerous goods from Kosovo and is creating noncustoms blockades. I will remove all customs duties if Serbia provides us with information on the fate of 1,700 missing persons," Vjosa Osmani said.

She added that the taxes on goods from Serbia were introduced "to cover up the scandals of Ramush Hardinaj's cabinet."
