Krusik arms factory employee Aleksandar Obradovic said on Dec. 17 that Prime Minister Ana Brnabic's statement that he was not a whistleblower had not surprised him, because Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had been the first to dispute his role as whistleblower.
"After the president of the state disputed my role as whistleblower, could anyone have thought that Ms. Brnabic's comment would have different content," Aleksandar Obradovic told daily Danas.
He went on to say that he had gotten used to all attempts at disqualification, disrespect and untruths coming from representatives of the authorities.
"They can freely go on testing my patience and good manners to their limits. I know what the truth about the arms trade is, and so do they. And the truth is so clear, simple and, I'm afraid, dangerous and painful for all of them," said Obradovic.
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said recently in Pancevo that Obradovic was not a whistleblower "because he did not follow legal procedure," adding that he had been gathering information on the defense, military industry for years and "gave it to a foreign journalist," asking "What would you call a man like that?"
