The president of Serbia and leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vucic, stated on Dec. 25 that his party had "very fair" cooperation with the Socialist Party of Serbia and urged the party members not to attack in the media "the easy targets, like Bosko Obradovic or Ivica Dacic, but tycoons and opponents who are powerful in the media sense."

In his statement to reporters after the visit to the hotel "Fruske Terme" in Vrdnik, Vucic said that he would only be able to speak about possible coalitions after the session of the party's Steering Committee, which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29.

"I have asked the party members and presidency to refrain from criticizing the coalition partners, because I never expected them to defend our positions. If we are incapable of doing it ourselves, then we should not exist. When you fight, you must be courageous, not pull the wool over someone's eyes. We will discuss that on Sunday, to bring the party in order a bit," Vucic stated.

He said that the claim of the vice-president of the Freedom and Justice Party, Marinika Tepic, about money having been unfairly obtained from businesses, including in the defense industry, with the purpose of paying for the revoking of recognition of Kosovo's independence.

He added that he had a different view of the Law on the freedom of religious confession in Montenegro than Milo Djukanovic did, but that Djukanovic was president in Montenegro and he had no right to interfere.
