At the same time, NKBM's staff, general and administrative costs rose 10% to 111.7 million euro, while its depreciation and amortisation costs went up 25% to 17 million euro, the statement read, SeeNews website reported.

The lender's total assets climbed to 5.1 billion euro at the end of last year, from 4.9 billion euro at end-2018.

The bank's sole owner is Luxemburg-based Biser Bidco, owned by Apollo Global Management and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Biser Bidco acquired NKBM from Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) back in 2016.
