Vodnjan-based Infobip has purchased U.S. OpenMarket for USD300m.

The purchased company is a subsidiary of AmDocs which, like Infobip, provides text messaging services, website B92 reports.

"We can confirm that a contract has been signed on the purchase of the OpenMarket company with the seller, the AmDocs company.

At this time we are waiting for the final details and will announce more information sometime today," Infobip representatives briefly told the Index website.

This past summer, Infobip gathered more than USD200m in the first round of financing from the One Equity Partners investment fund, according to B92.

It started out in 2006 as a small start-up company from the Istrian town of Vodnjan.

Today, with close to 15 years of experience in the IT industry, the company employs more than 2,100 people globally and operates on six continents through 67 offices.

Infobip has been recognized worldwide as a winner of numerous awards for the quality of its services, where it cooperates with over 300,000 clients, such as the biggest chat apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram and globally famous brands like Virgin Megastore, Strava, Uber, Zendesk, Burger King and many others. Last year Infobip posted EUR602m in revenue, up 38% YOY.
