The campaign for local elections in 10 local self-administrations in Serbia is one of the strangest since the renewal of a multi-party system in 1990. Its main characteristic is a pronounced asymmetry – the Aleksandar Vucic authorities have opted for a campaign that does not differ much from what it would be like were they campaigning for parliamentary elections, while the opposition’s spotty campaign hardly qualifies as one.
