Vucic, Rama, Kovacevski on Stepping up Open Balkans Cooperation

The leaders of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania held an online meeting on July 8 to step up cooperation as part of the Open Balkans initiative.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the prime ministers of Albania and North Macedonia, Edi Rama and Dimitar Kovacevski, and he discussed an upcoming meeting and fair of wine and food to be held in Belgrade in September, which will be organized by the Open Balkans initiative.

"We agreed that this wonderful and unique event, which we believe will become a friendly tradition, is at the same time an exceptional promotion for our three countries, but also an opportunity for producers from the region to join in and present their best, exclusive products," a post on Vucic's Instagram profile said.

The government in Skopje said in a press release that the online meeting was dedicated to intensifying cooperation in order to overcome difficulties in the supplying of food and fuels.
