The agricultural company Al Dahra Srbija, which purchased the property of the former Poljoprivredni kombinat Beograd (PKB) agricultural organization several years ago, announced on March 23 that it had entered the zone of profit, with predicted stable growth and new investments.
After PKB’s decades of operating with losses, Al Dahra is now operating profitably, which is a result of capital investments, renewing of infrastructure, acquisition of new machinery and optimization of work processes – all of which with the aim of establishing a solid foundation for further development, the statement reads.
It was pointed out that Al Dahra recently received the first contingent of new machines for this year, worth more than six million euros, and that new equipment for cattle farms, worth more than a million euros, would also arrive soon. The statement went on to say that Al Dahra had also procured two new fire-engines, thus completing the renewal of machines and equipment in the company’s fire brigade.
Continued investment and production advancement also envisages new machinery, such as tractors, combine harvesters, sprinklers and seeders, into which the company will invest an additional eight million euros by the end of this year.
