The inaugural International Business Fair titled “Banjaluka Expo 2024”, held under the auspices of Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik and Serbian Domestic and Foreign Trade Minister Tomislav Momirovic, opened in RS capital on April 3.

In the opening speech, Dodik said that in the time when the entire world was struggling with chaos and problems amid recession, the real sector of the economy was posing a major challenge, adding that the RS authorities would devise solutions to assist businesspeople to overcome problems and stay afloat. “In terms of the EU economy, we have less power so we need to rely on our own capacities,” he said.

Momirovic said that only a strong Serbia could stand as adequate support to RS, which, he said, was the policy of the Serbian leadership, while honoring the Dayton Peace Accords. Momirovic also said that Serbia would remain committed to economic relations and infrastructure investments in RS, recalling that Serbia was among the biggest donors to RS, considering assistance provided for building a number of educational, healthcare, transportation, and sport facilities.

The organizers of the “Banjaluka Expo 2024” fair are the companies “RS Consulting and Trade” Banjaluka and “Elit Fer” Banjaluka, with the support of the RS Government, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the RS Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Banjaluka.
