Ivica Dacic (Beta/Foreign Ministry)

The Serbian and Tunisian foreign ministers, Ivica Dacic and Noureddine Erray respectively, on June 2 said they were happy because the situation in both countries, triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, had been improving, adding they expected the situation to fully normalize shortly and economic and other sorts of bilateral cooperation to continue.

According to a release from the Serbian Foreign Ministry, in a phone talk, Erray informed Dacic about the situation in Tunisia, stressing that European countries had recognized Tunisia as a safe destination in the southern Mediterranean region, and announced soon opening of the tourist season in his country.

Erray confirmed Tunis’s principled support to Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and full backing to resuming the dialogue and achieving a compromise solution to the Kosovo and Metohija issue. Dacic thanked Tunisia on its position on Kosovo.

Dacic extended an invitation to his Tunisian counterpart to visit Serbia, which Erray gladly accepted, saying he cherished great memories of Belgrade and Serbia from the time he had served in the Tunisian Embassy in Belgrade.
