Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Israel’s outgoing ambassador to Serbia, Alona Fisher-Kamm said on July 27 they hoped more Israeli investors would learn more about and use investment advantages in Serbia, the Office of the Serbian President reported.

During Fisher-Kamm’s farewell visit, the Serbian president thanked her for all she did during her diplomatic term in Belgrade to support the bilateral relationship. Vucic said he was satisfied with continuous progress in the political dialogue and economic cooperation between Serbia and Israel, “underlining that what provided a strong boost to them was mutual understanding and solidarity between the two nations that often shared tragic historical fate, particularly during the World War II,” the president was quoted as saying by the Office.

Ambassador Fisher-Kamm said that during her work in Belgrade she witnessed President Vucic’s exceptional efforts to make bilateral ties closer, mentioning specifically the president’s “appearance at the AIPAC annual conference in Washington, touching the hearts of Jewish people, as well as many legal solutions that Serbia endorsed while respecting the rights of the Jewish community.”
