Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has talked over the phone with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, and the two officials noted the existence of considerable potential for enhancing bilateral cooperation, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They highlighted cooperation in the area of economy and voiced the hope that, after the epidemiological situation has normalized, it would be possible to organize a session of the Mixed Committee on Economic Cooperation.

The two ministers also noted that relations between the two countries were good and that they were tied by a traditional friendship. Dacic and Shoukry said that they expected the high- and top-level dialogue between Serbia and Egypt to resume soon after a new Serbian government was formed.
