The United Opposition of Serbia announced on Oct. 28 that the new Serbian government will not be legal and legitimate as it was the result of “false elections,” adding that it demands a new vote – “free and fair, with the free media.”

“After this day, [Serbian President] Aleksandar Vucic continues to be the usurper of all state powers, [the one] who, in violation of his constitutional authority, has already announced a new vote,” the press release said.

The organization also said that it will participate in elections in which parties and individuals will compete under equal conditions and will have equal access to the media, especially the public services.

The United Opposition also said that it is ready to talk with the authorities about said demands, with the mediation of the EU and the EU’s monitoring of the campaign and election processes.

The Serbian MPs are to elect a new government on Oct. 28. Prime Minister-Designate Ana Brnabic will initially present the program of the proposed cabinet, while the vote will take place after a debate.
