Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko discussed in Belgrade on Nov. 24 projects in the area of infrastructure and energy as well as other bilateral and regional issues.

Vucic stressed that the presence of Russian Orthodox Church representative Metropolitan Hilarion at Serbian Orthodox Church patriarch Irinej's funeral was a confirmation of how close the two churches and peoples are, a statement from the Presidency said.

Botsan-Kharchenko talked about his memories of patriarch Irinej and the Serbian patriarch's devotion to finishing the Church of Saint Sava. The two officials also discussed the realization of concrete agreements and joint projects in the areas of infrastructure and energy and voiced their hope that key projects would be completed on time, the statement said.
