President Aleksandar Vucic said on Nov. 26 that he expected Serbia to progress considerably on its European road in the next six months.

He added that Serbia would make it easier for its friends to protect its interests in the process of integration.

"We know what it is that we must do. We have a difficult issue, and that is the issue of Kosovo. The other questions are for our own good and that is the rule of law and we will do this," Vucic said after meeting French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Franck Riester.

Vucic said that Serbia was counting on the support of its French friends in its bid for membership in the EU. "We have embraced the new methodology and by mid-next year we expect only one cluster to remain unopened. A lot of effort, work and support is needed for this. It remains to be seen whether we will succeed and we expect to receive France's support," he said.
