One COVID-19 Death in Serbia as 118 New Cases Confirmed

Serbia has seen one COVID-19 death in the last 24 hours, while 118 new cases of infection were confirmed, the Health Ministry of Serbia said in a press release on July 12.

Four of the 281 patients currently hospitalized with the disease are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia, infection with the novel coronavirus was confirmed in 717,667 people, while 7,073 have died.

Milanko Sekler, an immunologist and virologist at the Kraljevo Veterinary Institute, said on July 12 that mixing COVID vaccines need not be shied away from, and that need for a third vaccine dose had been under consideration in Serbia since March.
