Forty-Nine COVID Deaths in Serbia, 5,334 Newly Infected

In the last 24 hours, 49 people have died of COVID-19 in Serbia bringing the death toll to 8,380, the authorities announced on Oct. 3.

According to the Serbian Institute of Public Health, 14,950 persons were tested and 5,334 new cases of infection were confirmed in the same time frame.

A total of 6,456 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 259 of whom are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia, 5,707,825 people have been tested of whom 961,006 were found to be positive for the coronavirus.
