Serbia’s average gross pay was RSD102.432 in May, vs. a net pay worth RSD74,168, the Serbian Statistics Office reported on July 25.
Compared to the same period last year, a nominal growth rate of 13.4 percent was recorded in a period from January to May 2022, as opposed to real growth of 3.8 percent. A nominal increase of 13.3 percent was recorded to Serbia’s net pay, vs. a 3.8 real growth rate.
Compared to May 2021, a nominal growth rate of 14.2 percent was reported in the average gross pay for May this year, as opposed to the real growth of 3.4 percent. The average nominal net pay was 14.4 higher, while the real salary growth was 3.4 percent.
The median net salary was RSD56,582 last May, meaning that 50 percent of employees earned that much.
