NIN weekly reporter Vuk Cvijic said on July 25 that he was not intimidated by the threats that Serbian Progressive Party official Vladimir Djukanovic has been Tweeting against him and other investigative journalists recently.

Cvijic told BETA that he considered threats coming from Progressive officials "signposts" in his work on uncovering criminal affairs devised by the sitting regime.

Djukanovic Tweeted that Cvijic would "answer for every lie" that he wrote and said.

NIN's editorial staff condemned the threats coming from Djukanovic, who is legal counsel to Predrag Koluvija, principal defendant in the Jovanjica cannabis plant case, and Dijana Hrkalovic, former state secretary in the Interior Ministry, and urged all responsible agencies to take every measure to stop baseless attacks and pressure on all professional journalists in Serbia.
