Milos Vucevic, the prime minister-designate and the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, on April 30 proposed to the parliament to convene on May 1 for a debate on new cabinet ministers. Vucevic unveiled the names of potential future ministers, most of whom served in the previous cabinet led by Ana Brnabic, the incumbent parliament speaker.
After a Progressives’ meeting, Vucevic told reporters that Ivica Dacic was the candidate for the post of interior minister, while Sinisa Mali should continue serving as finance minister.
The nominees for another term in office include Irena Vujovic as environmental protection minister, Goran Vesic as construction, transport and infrastructure minister, and Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic as mining and energy minister.
Among the candidates for reappointments are Tomislav Momirovic as domestic and foreign trade minister, Maja Popovic as justice minister, Tanja Miscevic as European integration minister, and Slavica Djukic Dejanovic as justice minister.
The nominee for defense minister is Bratislav Gasic, while Marko Djuric is to be responsible for foreign affairs.
Serbian Party Oathkeepers Party leader Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski and Progressives official Darko Glisic will make their debuts as cabinet ministers, taking the helm of the Ministry of Family Welfare and Demography, and the Ministry of Public Investment, respectively.
