On Aug. 29, French President Emmanuel Macron will be arriving in Serbia for a two-day visit, during which he and President Aleksandar Vucic will discuss a number of topics.
The Serbian president will stage an official welcome for his French counterpart in front of the Palace of Serbia. Following a one-on-one sit-down, the two heads of state will witness representatives of Serbia and France signing several bilateral documents.
On Aug. 30, Macron will travel to Novi Sad, where he will visit the Matica Srpska Gallery and deliver a speech at the Youth and Artificial Intelligence Forum. The French president will conclude his visit by revealing a plaque commemorating the newly completed modernization of Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
The Elysee Palace has announced that, during his visit to Belgrade, Macron will confirm his support to Serbia’s Euro-integrations and take the opportunity to discuss the economy, healthcare, the energy industry, culture and artificial intelligence with Vucic.
Another key topic for discussion will be Serbia’s efforts to acquire Dassault Rafale multirole fighter jets from France, which the two sides previously discussed in April, during Vucic’s visit to Paris.
