Serbian Parliament speaker Ana Brnabic has scheduled the first sitting of the regular parliament session for next Monday, Oct. 7, with potential lithium mining in Serbian on its agenda.

On Sept. 10, opposition parties filed a demand for a special parliament sitting focusing on lithium mining, but half an hour ahead the scheduled sitting on Sept. 30, Brnabic said there would be no time to debate the issue, because the opposition had been “stalling” the sitting discussing a budget 2024 revision.

Around 6 pm on Sept. 30, the Serbian Parliament adopted a revision of the 2024 budget, with revenues now increased by some 6.5 percent compared to the initial budget.
