The Freedom and Justice Party on Nov. 13 said that the sitting government had been awarding jobs to the government-linked companies, adding that people had been killed due to such corruptive projects.
“With corruptive projects executed by the companies linked with the Serbian Progressive Party, this regime has been killing people. No longer can anyone in Serbia feel safe as canopies collapse, public buses’ tires kill people on sidewalks, and the only question is where the next tragedy will take place,” the party said in a release.
The party also said that Starting, the company which had performed works on the outdoor concrete canopy at the Novi Sad Railway station, was a member of a consortium which was hired by the City of Belgrade to build Blvd. Patrijarha Pavla, which had not been completed for more than six years now.
“Aside from Starting, another consortium member was Lotex, a firm linked to the government. The entire project was worth RSD2,4 billion,” according to the Freedom and Justice Party.
