The U.S. Department of State has acknowledged the first-instance guilty verdict to the president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, and pointed out that it opposed any action by local leaders that would erode the security and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We acknowledge the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina's verdict today (Feb. 26) concerning Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik,” stated the spokeswoman of the State Department, Tammy Bruce. She stressed that the U.S. had invested for decades into a stable Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We firmly oppose any actions by local leaders that would undermine security and stability. We support Dayton and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Bruce stated.
