Students occupying the Faculty of Medicine protested in front of the Emergency Center on March 17 demanding that the University Clinic Center of Serbia release accurate figures of how many patients had come in with complaints of nausea, headache and other symptoms after an incident at a massive March 15 protest in Belgrade.

In an Instagram post, the students said that a large number of their counterparts and other citizens had complaints of nausea, vomiting, vertigo, headache and tinnitus after the protest, and had sought help at health care institutions of the University Clinic Center of Serbia. "Citizens reported failures of heart rhythm regulation devices. Also, a large number of citizens sustained orthopedic injuries during the stampede in Kralja Milana Street," they noted.

The post went on to say that the confusion and stampede were caused by a mechanism whose effects matched those of a long-range acoustic device, a sonic weapon whose use is prohibited in Serbia.

The University Clinic Center's Emergency Center earlier denied all such reports, saying there was nothing out of the ordinary in the traffic it was seeing and that health care centers were not flooded with patients with symptoms consistent with exposure to a sound blast.

The students posted that citizens had come to them on March 16 with reports of being targeted at the Emergency Center as their admission paperwork was marked with the word "protest" and they were informed that they would not be examined if they had the abovementioned complaints, caused during the protest.
