Student protest (BETAPHOTO/DRAGAN GOJIC)
The Get Going for Change movement invited the citizens of Serbia on June 25 to attend the protest rally in Belgrade on June 28, organized by the students in blockade.
In their invitation to the Vidovdan (St. Vitus’ Day) protest, they declared the following: “We see fear of the people among those who wanted the people to fear them. Together, we are creating a democratic society, because democracy is where the authorities fear the people, and dictatorship is where the people fear the authorities.”
Commenting on the arrest of a student of the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade, Stefan Tomic, for alleged terrorism, the leader of the movement, Savo Manojlovic, stated that the police should arrest for terrorism “those who have used and ordered the use of the sound cannon, and not students who demand that the laws and Constitution of Serbia are honored.” “Arrest Vucic,” Manojlovic said.
