University Professor Questioned by Authorities over Post on Blockades

Professor Biljana Stojkovic of the Belgrade University School of Biology said that, on July 7, she was brought in for questioning by the Cybercrime Department of the High Public Prosecutor’s Office over a post on X calling for traffic blockades in wake of the June 28 anti-regime rally.

“I was brought in for questioning over a tweet from a few days ago, where I wrote ‘No more blockades, we need barricades. Throughout Serbia. If we can’t stage a general strike, we can stage general barricades,” Stojkovic told the press after she was interviewed by the authorities.

The professor added that the charges she is facing fall under the category of “issuing insults, committing violence, issuing threats or brawling
