The Moma Stanojlovic Aeronautical Institute and Airbus Helicopters signed a document on cooperation in Belgrade on Sept. 24 to ensure the continuation of the institute being engaged as a local producer of helicopter components in the Airbus Helicopter global supply chain.

Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and Assistant Minister in Charge of Material Resources Nenad Miloradovic attended the signing of the document on continuing the realization of projects of industrial cooperation with Airbus, established based on a contract on the procurement of the H145M helicopter, the ministry reported.

According to the statement, this ensures continuity in the transmission of knowledge and development of high-technology production in Serbia. Through the realization of this project, Serbia continues to bolster its role in the international aircraft industry, while at the same time advancing the capacity for the long-term maintenance and development of its own helicopter fleet, the ministry said.
