Multiple oppositional tickets are futile against Serbia’s current, criminal regime and any electoral option other than the university students’ ticket is superfluous, Democratic Party president Srdjan Milivojevic said on Sept. 29.
At a meeting of his party’s general assembly, Milivojevic stated that what is going on in Serbia is not a struggle for power but “an epic struggle of good against evil and a fight for freedom.”
For this reason, the public is constantly subject to mind games suggesting that any snap election should include some left- or right-wing opposition options in addition to the student ticket, the politician claimed and stressed that the latter is the only ticket that can stand up against the ruling “mafia.”
“In the current referendum-like atmosphere, any other option is superfluous and can only be seen as playing into the hands of the regime, not as one that could lead to victory,” Milivojevic concluded.
