The opposition parties which had been supporting the student movement would fade from the political scene, Public Investment Minister Darko Glisic said on Sept. 30 .
In his first TV appearance since suffering a stroke during a live broadcast on TV Pink, Glisic said that the parties which decided not to distance themselves from the protesting students would “shut down.”
“The opposition parties which do not dissociate themselves from this sectarian movement that has been organizing blockades will come to an end, they can shut down their premises. They will completely disappear,” the minister said.
This was Glisic’s comment on the Democratic Party’s decision to support a single student ticket in the next elections and party leader Srdjan Milivojevic’s statement that there could be no change of the regime if several opposition parties decided to run separately in the elections
