The student ticket cannot defeat the regime even in a referendum-like atmosphere, because they cannot provide answers to some crucial national questions, according to New Democratic Party of Serbia leader Milos Jovanovic.
“In would require the votes of supporters of genuine right-wing parties, whose representatives would not be on the student ticket, because they cannot offer answers to some crucial national questions, such as Serbia’s accession to the European Union,” Jovanovic has told Belgrade daily Danas.
In a program on TV Nova on Oct. 5, student representatives said that defeating the incumbent regime in the next elections would require creating a referendum-like atmosphere, and called on the opposition parties not to run independently in the elections, but rather support the student ticket.
The students also said that their representatives would not be on the student ticket for next parliamentary elections.
