Serbian Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Minister Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski on Oct. 21 said that a new Labor law, which was being drafted, would be “more flexible to family life.”
She told TV Prva that the lawmakers were considering flexible working hours for parents of children with developmental disabilities.
“Employers should take into account all the aspects and allow their employees to work shorter hours and in turn be paid less, but they should enable them to balance work and family life,” the minister said, adding that the same provisions would also apply to parents of multiple children.
She added that the lawmakers were also considering the possibility of extending maternity leave.
