The police, in cooperation with Eurojust and Europol, arrested seven persons in Belgrade on Oct. 22, suspected of belonging to an organized crime group called “Vracarci”, together with three in Sabac and three in Spain as accessories.

The suspects are charged with criminal association, murder and causing danger to the public.

There is grounded suspicion that the arrested are members of the organized crime group “Vracarci,” the organizers of which are Nikola Vusovic, incarcerated in Germany, and Uros Piperski, incarcerated in Portugal, with active criminal proceedings against them before the Special Chamber of the Higher Court in Belgrade for acts of organized crime.

All the arrested have been remanded in police custody, pending appearance before the Public Prosecution for Organized Crime.
