Dusan Bajatovic (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)

Dusan Bajatovic, the general director of state natural gas provider Srbijagas, has said that Serbia will have enough gas, adding he was going to Hungary on Nov. 4 to discuss gas supplies.

"Serbia will not run out of gas. We know that now, and we also know how we will ensure that, but I cannot discuss it in public. Serbia will neither be without electricity, nor will be short of gas, so there will be no need for any sort of fuel containers,” Bajatovic told the Serbian Parliament in the capacity of an MP of the Socialist Party of Serbia.

He also said that the state was working on the problems faced by oil and gas company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), caused by the sanctions imposed by the US over Russia’s majority stake in the company. “I am sorry for not being able to share more details. I will try to return from Hungary as soon as possible,” Bajatovic said.
